OPEN LETTER TO U.S. CONGRESSWOMAN BRENDA L. LAWRENCE OF MICHIGAN’S 14TH DISTRICT FROM DAVID BROWNSTEIN, MD.

Dear Representative Lawrence,
I have tried to contact your office by email and phone without success. I am a board-certified physician who practices in your district—West Bloomfield, MI.
I am concerned about the problems at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. One year ago today, a CDC senior scientist whistleblower, Dr. William Thompson, came forward and admitted that crucial data was altered in an important 2004 CDC scientific paper that found no correlation with the MMR vaccine and autism. Dr. Thompson stated that his superiors pressured him to alter the data in this paper to hide the association between the MMR vaccine and autism.
The unaltered data showed a 240% increase risk in autism in African American male boys who were given the vaccine before 36 months of age. Furthermore, the study found that there was a 69% increase in autism in any male child given the vaccine before 36 months of age. Incredibly, the 2004 published paper omitted that data.
Dr. Thompson states that he has the original data and the information that indicates that his superiors wanted the data altered. In fact, Dr. Thompson claims that his superiors ordered him and his fellow authors to throw the incriminating evidence into a garbage can.
Rep. Lawrence, if this is true, tens of thousands of our youth were subjected to a potentially dangerous vaccine because of malfeasance from the CDC. It is well known that African American boys are more affected by autism than any other children’s group. It is very upsetting to think about how many African American boys (and other children) have been given this vaccine over the last 10 years–if it was known to cause autism.
Today marks one year to the date that Dr. Thompson admitted in a taped confession that the CDC covered up crucial vaccine data. To date, we have heard nothing from the CDC. Nothing from Congress. And little from the media.
It is time to have full hearings on this matter. If Dr. Thompson’s story is true, we need to know. I have seen countless parents who have told me the same story: “My child was well until he/she received a vaccine and he/she regressed physically, emotionally and mentally within hours to days from that injection.”
This is not an indictment on all vaccines. In fact, vaccines are safe for the majority who receive them. However, it is important for all of us to know if there is a link between vaccinations and autism. How can a parent make a competent medical decision for their child if they don’t have all the information available to them?
We need your help and your voice. It is time for the truth to come out.

I am an Applied Clinical Nutritionist and Clinical Researcher and have researched causes of ADD/ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities and other diseases for many years.

I think you may have been referencing me about avoiding the use of acetaminophen? However, for some reason, my question does not appear on your web site asking about new information that seems to imply that perhaps it may be the acetaminophen given after the vaccines for fever that may actually be the link to autism vs the vaccine itself. What is your opinion on acetaminophen perhaps being the link to autism? I was not aware of the potential link until I stumbled upon it accidently . I had not read it anywhere. Is it legitimate ? The site also referenced studies, which I included in links, are they valid? I would thinkpeople that follow you would be interested in that information also and if it is a legitimate concern worthy of investigation.
Again thank you for the wonderful job you do educating all of us on important medical issues. If all Doctors were like you there probably wouldn’t be a health crisis as we would have prevented so many illnesses.

I think Lawrence has already gone to the dark side. Frankly, I don’t understand how this woman was elected given her poor track record in Southfield, Mi. However, this is not a bash Lawrence comment. It’ is a comment to inform others in the state that she has recently voted against GMO labeling on foods. She was supportive of WalMart building a superstore in the middle of the city of Southfield despite residential concerns Fortunately, many residents researched Walmart and their dubious enterprises across the globe and were able to convince the City Council that Walmart would not be good for the city. Lawrence was greatly disappointed. Her track record so far leans towards supporting corporations agenda. I would expect if given a choice of who to support-her constitutes or big pharma. The concerned citizens of the state of Michigan will lose.

Hi, Vaccines may not be safe for most people. 7 vaccines every 2 months and 12 hour baby getting Hept B vaccine. That is way too many vaccines at one time and too often. Hept B vaccine gave MS symptoms to people in France. The next generation may be very sick from vaccines. AfroAmerican babies maybe hurt by vaccines even more due to gluten/dairy/soy/sugar/GMO hurt them and baby formula being 1/2 sugar and GMO corn/soy. Yes…any covered up information should not be ignored/hidden again.
I’ve got 3 sons. 2 have autism of some form.. the first is 8 and can’t keep calm or hold still. There’s ADHD in there and aspergers. He was progressing well, talking a little and when he turned one.. he stopped talking for a whole year…
The 2nd son.. he has severe speech problems.. he didn’t start talking until he was 6 and a half. He is smart as heck, though. He learned his alphabet at 4. Was reading before 5. Learned ASL. Touch Chat. Everything that we asked him to. But it was a struggle. He’s very stubborn and still gets violent when he is told “no”. He’s been struggling so long with communication that it’s hard to tell how much of that is genuine frustration vs autism.
The 3rd son is five. He’s “momo”. Our nickname for our normal kid. Here’s what that means, though.. he’s not as wildly brilliant as the other ones. But he’s sweet, well tempered, plays appropriate with his toys. Can PRETEND without getting into a tizzy about what is true and what isn’t.
It’s time for him to start kindergarten. You need to get all of your vaccination records in order, dental, physical, etc. Well.. lo and behold.. the vaccine he’s missing? MMR

I read both articles you recently penned when you took two cardiologists to task for perpetrating the false meme that statins are also safe and effective. Being a man of science, and also of conscience, I look forward to reading your post where you forensically address your comment.
However, if you are unable to do so, a retraction is in order.

What I meant by that statement is that the majority who receive a vaccine do not exhibit problems such as autism. Is a one in sixty autism rate acceptable if it is proved that vaccines cause autism? Of course not.
Do I think it is safe to inject mercury in anyone? No. Aluminum? Probably not, but there are no good safety studies that have been done on this. MSG? No safety studies have been done. The majority of vaccine recipients seem to tolerate their vaccines ok.
Perhaps I could have clarified that statement, but, to send a letter to Congress with a statement that all vaccines are unsafe will ensure that no one will read or consider it. That is the world we live in.

I have been trained by Russell Blaylock and others on this topic..powerful teachers in a challenging environment of coverups. I look forward to seeing Loren Stockton DC at the IAACN scientific symposium next week in Minneapolis. He works with autistic children and tries to help detoxify them and improve their gut micro bile. He is passionate about this and so are you. Very grateful!

Agreed however, how can you state… “…vaccines are safe for the majority who receive them…” when in fact WE REALLY DO NOT KNOW THE FACTS… who knows what the toxic ingredients in vaccines are and what damage they may be doing. What medical science needs to do is reveal ways to strengthen our immune systems which is our first line of defense. IMO if a child is not murdered in the womb, then once born they are injected with toxins in vaccines… historically the rate of childhood diseases began to decrease when sanitary conditions began to improve. Going into the US Military and into Nursing School for example people are given vaccines for many many diseases… our foods are infused with preservatives and other chemicals, our meats are contaminated with antibiotics, hormones, pesticides… our water with chlorine, fluoride and ammonia…our air with chem trails at least… and vaccines are supposedly pristine??? Dr. Brownstein, this is a good start for bringing this matter to the attention of your local congressional representative. But it may never get past her office manager’s desk. I would have it reprinted in your local paper, and a national paper like the USA Today and/or the Wall Street Journal. This way there will be much more attention and focus on this issue, and then your local representative will be forced to do something about it. Otherwise, it will sit on their desks, and if she is beholden to the pharmaceutical industry in any way, it will go NO WHERE. And, why not contact Dr. Oz’s TV office, and see if you can get on his show, or at least get him to talk about it.

Great letter! It will be interesting to see if a hearing materializes on the alleged CDC cover-up. The rate or Autism in America is one out of every 88 births. This tragedy affects all of us. A sick population is NOT a productive population. NOTHING should be off the table when it comes to determining the CAUSE of Autism (or anything else) – certainly NOT vaccine profits over public health issues and politicians doling out laws favorable to industry in order to fund their elections and re-elections.
The problem with medical and other cover-ups involves K Street – think lobbyists. Politicians fund their elections and reelections with industry money and the alphabet agencies such as the CDC, FDA, USDA, etc. reflect the incestuous relationship among politicians, policy setting agencies, industry, and the me-too media. The federal government has paid out over 3 billion dollars (tax payer money) to the vaccine injured or their survivors. Apparently, whatever Big Pharma wants Big Pharma gets – just buy the politicians and the media (think advertising dollars). Until we have publicly funded elections (NO exception) and Big Money from industry is taken out of the election process, we will continue to have bad vaccine policies, cancer-causing- pesticide-laden GMO’s as America’s food standard, conventional medicine’s overly-expensive sick care monopoly and continued persecution of alternative treatments that are outside standard-of-care medicine.
The technological advances starting with the Genome project to map human genes and quickly followed by Epigenetics (eating anti-inflammatory foods and practicing good lifestyle habits) can alter the expression of disease-causing genes. Then we have the importance of the Microbiome which focuses on gut health and its impact on every aspect of human health including the immune system. There now is a better way to practice medicine – it’s called Functional “root-cause-resolution” Medicine.
America’s vaccine schedule for children involves 36 vaccines and the number is climbing – this is by far more than any other industrialized country requires and the policy setters are wanting 100% compliance which has already affected requirements for school attendance and employment.
It is going to take a grass-roots movement of well-informed, involved patients and their advocates to usher in a better system because monopolies don’t make voluntary change. We need to be looking at ALL of the science – NOT just what the vaccine makers want to submit to the FDA. How about independent assessment of vaccines (and drugs) from scientists who have absolutely NO connection to industry and therefore, no conflict of interest?
I wrote to Rep. Jason Chaffetz last month following your July 21 blog post about the Congressional Oversight and Reform Committee holding hearings on the CDC coverup of falsified research linking the MMR vaccine to autism. I urged him to subpoena Dr. Thompson so his superiors can’t order him not to testify. Those of us who are concerned need to put the pressure on that committee and on our elected representatives. Thank you, Dr. Brownstein, for informing us of these issues and letting us know what action we can take!

On behalf of everyone, thank you for continuing to pursue this issue. Unfortunately, our elected representatives seem to have their attention focused on their benefactors, not their constituents.
If available, can you direct your readers and/or provide a copy of the data that was provided by Dr. Thompson as well as the article written by Dr. Hooker? Its important for the public to have access to this information, even if the government and medical journals try to delete it from the public record.
As I listen to the numerous presidential candidates discuss the supposed issues, things like this topic never see the light of day. But like other topics in the news, the lack of honesty and accountability among government workers goes from bad to worse.

If only they could test those children linkley to be damaged by vaccines. Vaccines do work, they are not foolproof and they are definaletly not safe. I have personally seen two children go into regressive autsim from vaccine damage. What is the answer, since they are over vacinating. But we sould not throw the baby out with the bath water.

Once one or two media outlets pick this up and perhaps interview Dr. Thompson, the whistle-blower, the demand for an investigation will be too loud to ignore.
If anyone has any connections to the Presidential campaign teams, this (and the bigger picture of FDA & big Pharma corruption) absolutely could be pushed as a campaign issues. Reform would lead to lower healthcare costs and more importantly, the literal saving of lives.
