    Peptides and Conception

If a woman uses peptides for a long time and decides to stop in order to have a child, will it affect conception?
I have a friend whose wife is trying to get pregnant without success. I was just wondering if her prolonged usage of peptides could be the problem.

I don't think it can affect your chances of getting pregnant. My wife has been a long-time peptide and hgh user. When we decided to have our first baby, she paused using the drugs for a while. After 4 months of not using peptides, she became pregnant with our first baby. After pregnancy and 1 year of breastfeeding our first baby, she went back to using peptides (no more hgh as we are trying to keep our expenses at the minimum). When our first baby is already three years old, we decided to have another one. She paused using peptides again and after two months of not using peptides and any contraceptive, she is now pregnant. We are very excited to see our second baby! Hopefully, it will be a girl this time as our first child is a boy.

I'm also not aware that it can cause a problem in conceiving so I probably wouldn't say that peptide use in the past is the problem.

Obviously everybody is different and it just might take longer for some than others, but I wouldn't go down the route of blaming the peptides just yet.

So far, I have not heard anyone discussing about it and I know some women using peptides and they still manage to have babies even when they were using peptides before they got pregnant. So, I think peptides has nothing to do with your friend's difficulty of conception. She should see a doctor to determine what is really wrong with her.

My friend was able to conceive her third second child even after using peptides for seven years already. She used peptides since she gained a lot of weight and became almost obese after she had given birth to her first child. She asked me what is the best drug that will help her get her nice figure back. When she gave birth to her second child, we were all happy to know it was a healthy baby boy. She breastfeed it for 2 years and now she is back in the game. It has already been 2 years since she is using peptides again.

As long as she stops when she plans to conceive a child, then I do not think there will be something wrong. It works fine. Those women who use peptides just stop using the drugs when they feel like having a child. Of course, the pause can be a little too long. On average, you might need to stop using peptides for 2 years as you have to stop a few months before you conceive and then you have to stop on the 9 months of your pregnancy and also, you can't return to using peptides when you are still breastfeeding your child. Most mothers stop breastfeeding when they baby turns 12 to 15 months old. On the other hand, the best time for you to stop breastfeeding, as what my wife said, is when the child turns 18 months to 24 months old.

No, the use of peptides does not affect your conception or pregnancy. Well, that is if you are not taking the drugs while you are pregnant. You should know that there are a lot of mothers in this forum. Those mothers used peptides before they decided to get pregnant. Therefore, peptides has nothing to do with that issue.

Peptides are destroyed rapidly in the body. All the components that make up the central dogma of molecular biology are. I feel that if a woman intends to get a baby she should allow some time after discontinuing peptide use to let her body adjust to the new condition. This is mostly because some peptides might have strong negative feedback effects as one halts intake.

Considering the feedback from women users, I can say that you won't have any problem with conceiving a baby if you stop a few months before you get pregnant. It might be a good idea to stop three months before when you want to start conceiving a child. This means you have to plan conceiving a child in advance.

As glockman said, peptides are quickly metabolised in the body. I haven't found anything to say that usage would affect conception itself, unless we're talking about the male, which then it could play a role. Other than that, there have been suspicions that it can cause problems if it's being used during the pregnancy, but I don't know if there have been any studies on that yet.

True. We must also ask if her man is using peptides as well. There is a probability that it is her man that has a problem. They might want to stop using peptides for quite some time and see if they succeed in having a baby. We also need to know how many months already has passed since the day she decided not to take it.

I have read somewhere that it might affect the fertility of a man, but I am not so sure with the woman's fertility. Knowing that our women users here were successful in conceiving a child, I guess it does not hinder the conception of a woman. If possible, we can ask our doctor for an advice.

So far, I have not heard any woman who claim that they become infertile after a continuous use of peptides. If your friend is having a hard time conceiving a child, then she should see her ob specialist as soon as possible. Things like this should be taken care immediately so they could still do something i they find something wrong about it.

How's the process of trying to conceive? I hope you can tell us if you are successful in conceiving a child as my girl has been truly afraid after reading this post. She thinks that she will lose the chance of being a mother just because of using peptides. However, I believe that peptides is not the reason why you are having a hard time to conceive a baby. Anyway good luck and I hope you all the best.

Peptides like HCG and HMG can boost fertility in both men and women. And no there aren't any peptides that will decrease it.

Does it really cause problems on the men's part? I am using peptides for some time now and I am still looking forward to be a father in the future. So far, I love how peptides helped me a lot in building my muscles. Should I really stop now? I mean can you elaborate more about "peptides and difficulties of producing an offspring?"

No, definitely I don’t think peptides have anything to do with this. Overdosing and using peptides irresponsibly can have side effects but not infertility. I think your friend’s wife may have other issues. Recently my girl had a minor scare, and we thought it was caused by HGH and were forced to visit the doctor, but it turns out it had nothing to do with HGH. People usually blame peptides because they’re scared or don’t have enough info, but usually the problems are caused by other things.

I don't think so. I have a female friend who was on peptides when she got pregnant. I don't think it was necessary for her to stop to get pregnant. However, if she got pregnant she should definitely halt the dosage for the sake of the child.

Considering the fact that a woman needs to stop using peptides before conception, I would say it could be a factor causing the delay.
Has there been any medical guarantee that peptides does not hinder conception?

Not being able to conceive is not always the woman at fault. It could also be the guy who may have low sperm count, that's why they were not able to conceive. They should see a specialist to really see who has the problem and what treatment they should apply.
