Using old PT -141, it burns like hell!

I had some PT-141 that was around 2 years old.* It had always been refrigerated but still 2 years is a long time.* Anyway I finally talked my DW into taking some this past Valentines day.* Ow man it was like a bee sting it hurt so bad.* Now the good news is it still worked perfectly since we did it like 6 times in 9 hours and she said every thing felt better.

She wanted to try it again but did not want to fell the sting.* I order a new batch and no sting at all.*

I'd imagine there was bacteria in the vial.

Do you know whether it was reconstituted with sodium chloride or bac water? If bac water, do you know the expiry date?

That is unsual. You should have checked the seal before injecting it.

It might be expired already that's why she felt a sting. It's better to just buy a new one like you did. Always check the expiration date before using any drug or medication. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Always make sure everything is done sterile during reconstitution, you don't want to mess up whole vial, or even worse harm yourself. alcohol pads are damn cheap, why not to use them.

You should have checked the expiration date of the drug. If it is already expired, then you are lucky that you have only experienced a sting sensation and nothing worse happened to you. Next time, always check the expiration date whether it is a drug you have stored for quite some time or is it a drug that you have just recently acquired.

Weren't you scared to use a 2-year old drug without checking its seal? That could even result to a much worse scenario. You are lucky to only experience a sting. I do not suggest storing a drug for a very long time (even when you keep it in your fridge or what). Also, I do not suggest injecting or consuming any drug without taking extra pre-cautions of checking the expiry date.

He was lucky that nothing really serious happened. I think it was more of a reaction by not checking the sterility, rather than the drug being expired.

I guess so, since usually if it was expired, it doesn't really cause a burning sensation, but will not work at all. I also think the site got irritated.

It could have also been nothing at all. I've heard from some users that they also experience stinging/ burning sensation upon injection, then it just went away in a short time. Unless, there were no other serious effects and it worked great, so I guess it wasn't expired or contaminated at all.
