I just went to mix a new vial of m2, I injected the needle with bacteriostatic and for some reason it started to pour in without me even touching the end of the syringe. After it emptied there was a bit of foaming because the fluid sprayed on the melanotan 2 directly. Is it still safe to use? Because I've read this can damage the peptide?
yes shouldn't be any issue at all. It's a subq injection not intravenous so air bubbles etc aren't important. Also squirting the bac water directly onto the peptide isn't an issue at all
The reason the Bac water got sucked into the vial of MT2 without you touching the needle is because the vial is vacuum sealed this is totally normal.
Also it is normal for the peptide to foam up a bit while dissolving after the bac water mixes with it. Just leave the vial to settle for a few minutes.
i think that happens when you dont prime the needle barrel properly. I forgot to pull it all the way out before pushing it back when i took a dose the other evening and the same thing happened, except when i too the needle out of the melanotan vial, more liquid kept spraying out the top of the vial. must have lost 2 or three doses.
I always like reconstituting a vial of MT-2 that has vacuum pressure. It can catch you off guard as it is more likely your mt-2 will have weak or no apparent pressure within the vial when it arrives to you. Definitely takes some practice and learning by mistake to work the vacuum pressure in your favor...by maintaining the small amount of pressure it'll help when drawing dosages from the multi-use vials - As bretbeat said, too much pressure within the vial can make the product spray out of/through the rubber seal. Luckily, as BoB.org said, the MT-2 peptide is fine - it's difficult to do damage when mixing as the small chain cyclic amino acid is quite durable.
what I do is if I put 2ml in I draw needle back out of fluid* and let pressure push plunger back that way the pressure is relived to a point that it won't spray.*

ty jim! I also sometimes remove the butt of the syringe while the needle is through the stopper to neutralize the vial pressure.
