i've been seriously considering doing melanotan 2 for awhile now, i've done quite a bit of research on it but i have a few questions.
I'd say i'm skin type two, i have quite a lot of freckles on my arms, some on my face and shoulders but what i'm more concerned about is my moles. I have a lot of moles all over my body, a few on my face,* a lot on my body and some on my legs. I have a feeling i may get some more over my body and potentially on my face too, but anyway would it be stupid for me doing a cycle of m2? I haven't really been able to find much on people who have lots of moles before they started m2. I just want to know what the darkening of moles actually means, does that make them cancerous? I understand that they darken over the course of m2 and fade gradually after stopping m2.
because of my circumstances i thought maybe it would be good just to dose low, around .250mcg and not push it further. Would that still yield good results while minimizing sides? if i didn't feel comfortable with the changes like moles changing etc i would stop immediately but yeah, i'm sick of being white and am really interested in giving m2 a go.. also, i don't want to go ridiculously dark, i just want a mediumish tan that looks natural and not too over the top, some of my friends who have done it have seriously looked like they're straight out of africa haha.
anyway thanks hopefully someone can help me out* cheers!
I can't really comment personally as I only have the one mole on my face, but I do have a fair bit of information on the matter!
Moles darkening doesn't always mean that it's cancerous, that's just one of the indications. Generally Melanotan doesn't cause new moles to develop.
Dosages up to about 500mcg should be alright, its normally 1mg and upwards I've seen reports of moles developing cancerous signs. Although getting checked over professionally every now and again can't hurt.
I won't include too much information here as it's a pretty big subject, but I would recommend checking out this link [nhs.uk] for assessment information.
A mole darkening is just a symptom of melanoma, not a cause. If they are all darkening then you don't know if it because of MT or cancer.
Moles also darken because of normal sun exposure, it's not just MT. Several months ago I started wearing suncreen everyday (live in a subtropical environment) and my skin lightened before my moles/freckles. I still have moles that are getting somewhat lighter. (This is the reverse of being pale and then starting to tan).

Thanks for the replys guys, I'm still really on the fence about this. The fact that I have so many moles is making me think twice about doing it.

Take your time! Its the most important thing really. If you jump into it unprepared mentally or physically it normally ends up worse. The anxiety sets in which kicks the nausea into overdrive, this ends up leading to the experience of heart palpitations. While not a direct effect of the MT2 it is caused by the anxiety and stigma that is indirectly caused from using things like this.

I'd recommend checking out our thread this board. It has lots of user logs there.
