So, I started using Mt2 about 8 months ago now and I after about 20mg in I noticed that my body (especially my chest) was tanning really well but for some reason not my face, hands, or feet.* Now, I'm at about 50 or 60 mg, honestly I've lost track.* But the problem is that my face still isn't tanning!!* How is this possible?* It's definitely a darker shade then when i first began but this has been after a crap load of tanning sessions (15 mins) and sitting in the sun.* At this point I just have to cover everything else up and only leave my face exposed.* And still, if i sit out longer than 45 mins I get burned.* Its infuriating considering all the money i've put into this.* To add to it all, my neck started getting some ridiculous tan lines and i have no idea why.* Im constantly afraid that my friends are going to say something and I really have no answer as to why half of my neck is tan.* It's almost like part of my skin tans and other parts don't.* At least the extreme tan line wasn't on my face I guess, but I'm worried that if i keep tanning it might happen on my face too.* I've been reading this forum for a while now and i have yet to see anyone else talk about this happening to them but I figured I'd take a chance anyways.* Any advice would be very much appreciated!*
Could be vitiligo, a yeast infection or another skin condition, there are a few posts around here from Jim C, I believe he has a medical background (don't quote me on that!) so would be more knowledgable than me.

why does it look really dark at the top then lighter at bottom ..

Sorry, thats actually just a shadow.* Like i said, bad lighting.

Thanks, I'll look around and see if i can find that.
That reads slightly odd to me. Just to clarify, vitiligo isn't a yeast infection, it "could be vitiligo or a yeast infection or another skin condition"
a friend of mine has simular patches on his neck and hands that are caused by flash burns (he is a welder), as Tom said it could be caused some skin problem or a injury like a burn be it flash , sun or other means , if it worries you have a doc check it out.*
Just to clarify since it was hard to see in that pic- it's not so much patches, its more of a divide where the bottom half of my neck is tan and above it the skin hasn't tanned.* Since my face hasn't really been tanning either, it almost seems like I'm not able to really tan above a certain part on my neck.* Sounds crazy but I can't figure anything else out.* I should also mention that I have seborrheic dermatitis so maybe that's a factor in all of this?* My first instinct is to keep trying to tan the uneven parts and put sunscreen on the darker parts but honestly it is starting to concern me so perhaps i should see a doctor.* I'd just hate to have to admit to a doctor that I've been injecting mt2 because I'm fairly confident his advice is just going to be to stop using it.
It may be worth seeing a doctor, there's only so much speculating we can do here and it's generally always better to get a trained opinion.
The dermatitis may be related but I'm not a doctor!
You don't necessarily have to admit it, and telling you to stop wouldn't solve the underlying issue. You could have tanned naturally and it would be no different to how you are now. If you stop and leave it untreated the next time you get exposed, such as on holiday, it will return.
if your S D is caused by yeast (there is a debate as to yeast causing it) that might account* for your neck , but UV* tends to kill yeast cells* the more UV the less surviving yeast cells there are (referance* D'Costa and Santoro 2009) so for the amount of time you spent in* sun tends to rule out yeast, the only way yeast could cause this if you had a raging yeast infection (Tinea Versicolor)before tanning but it should go away in the long run, my bet is some thing that caused a melanin defency in skin.
