I have heard some people's lips will darken, not become more red or pink but actually begin to turn brown. This seems to be more common in those who have to use heavy doses to achieve results. As always, I stand by that you should use as little as needed to minimize unwanted side-effects.

Only on one occasion while experimenting with high-end tanning beds did I make the mistake...otherwise I do not notice color changes in the lips. Great topic!

I'm a mega-doser and LOVE my dark lips.
Never called them 'purple' as some seem to say high doses cause
they are always brown where they should be.

This is a very general question. Do you mean change color due to melanotan or tanning, and if from melanotan then it is dosage dependant.

I get purple lips not tan lips when I take 1mg a day.
