when in a tanning bed/booth should you use sunscreen?

im probably going to hit up my first tanning booth session in 2 weeks but i was wondering if its necessary to wear sunscreen when you do so? ive never went to a tanning bed before!

also, i still have some light acne marks (acne is gone but left some red marks)... they arnt too bad and are kinda faded but should i put a bit of sunscreen on the area where i have the marks? i heard a tan helps even marks out so im excited!

I use on scars/tattoos that are uneasy to cover, otherwise just lotion

Chris, I plan on getting my tattoo finished on March 3rd....will this effect it in any way? It's all black and grey shading, half sleeve.
