"Please help with Melanotan 2.* I reach out because of your expertise but also b/c I find it tough to justify to myself to try to be a hero/front runner on this given the risks, without tapping into the experience/best practices of veterans. "
Happy you understand the risks and commitment Melanotropin peptides can involve.*
"Despite my fair skin I’m constantly outside playing sports all my life, but I've always gone heavy sunblock as an ingrained habit early on.* My sister (who can actually get pretty tan) heard of Clinuvel so I have been following that and the equivalent experimental use of those peptides for a few years.* I occasionally get stung with bad burns (mostly forearms or back) from lack of re-application or just getting caught every now/then without sufficient prep.* "
Clinuvel has little to offer us with Melanotan/afamelanotide.* There is a more potent analog Clinuvel is currently experimenting with… something to watch out for when the formula is available
"My goals are 70% internal photoprotection (giving my weak skin a fighting chance as I bust my ass with outdoor sports including surfing, etc) and 30% cosmetic to finally be able to get some healthy sought after color; not that I need a reason to be more confident/cocky but it would certainly be a euphoric to be able to get even the slightest tan.* I noticed your take and some others on the forums seem to be hugely bullish on this turnaround like when it worked for you it was like adding a sense that hadn’t been there (deaf to hearing, etc).* So perhaps I am understating these %s and would enjoy the cosmetic anymore, but for now I am sticking to these #s and maybe lying to myself a bit.* Cosmetically, as you know, it just becomes tiresome to have such fragile skin with no base for protection and mine many times looks very sunburn under florescent office lighting but totally healthy in outdoor lighting, which is fkn annoying. "
The ability to be outdoors and protect your skin is hard to compare to anything.* Maybe it's like getting lasik eye surgery and seeing...or hearing....seeing the sun is unreal when nature doesnt/didnt allow via natural hormone/exposure.* Further when you can travel the world and attract any ethnicity you want.* Being dutch/irish…world knew I couldn’t protect my skin with my genes… Synthetic melanocyte stimulating hormone really can offer opportunity to our lacking melanocytes/receptors/etc.
The aphrodisiac almost puts you in tune…on a new wavelength.* You can survive in a new environment (uv rays).* Definitely something to melanin, the pineal gland, etc
"My ideal would be to pay a premium if I could try the best Melanotan II peptide under approved circumstances.* The other aspect is that I find it a bit taxing to be doing so many injections so the nasal spary is compelling, second clearly to the ‘rice’ b/c that would last an entire summer (clearly this comes with its own risks of being internal for so long)."
You will have to be in tune and take care of yourself have you pursue melanotan peptides.* Only a couple dozen people in the world would likely be qualified to supervise you.* Nasal spray is a pipe dream imho & generally a bad area of marketing - stay away from those vendors
"Ideally I would also want this to be under the suspervision of a doc/dermatologist.* As an aside, I fully believe that supplements like this and even supervised small dosing of HGH when we are 60/70 years old at LEAST will be totally common place.* If your current biology products a suboptimal amount of something and the cost/benefit seems net+ for your goals, why would the rational player not implement this?!? "
See a dermatologist a year after your use.* Bothering/confusing a doctor is not something I could advise, generally foolish results/responses from the stories I have read over the years.* It is your duty to get routine bloodwork and seek routine dermatologist visits. Yes, peptides such as insulin, hgh and hcg might be paving the way towards understanding/going mainstream.
[quote]My attitude/sentiment towards trying Melanotan II]None of your friends are likely to understand what’s going on. It is your business, and a business to be taken seriously as expertise/knowledge will help you out.*
Since you are like me and likely have melanocortin issues (redness), we require more anesthetic during surgery.* If you have your melanotan’d skin present, doc might underestimate. Be proud and aware of the controversy...but keep it on the Melanotan forum
"Timing Melanotan II results. Could I plan for next summer or perhaps for a carrib vacation in Feb 2012?"
Absolutely realistic. Best direction I would send you would be to start out with low dose Melanotan 1.* After a few months you will likely not be overly impressed and will not be at a level you can travel to the carribbean. After the Winter holidays, begin UV therapy and MT-II.* All the while you can dabble with GHRP-2, Ipamorelin, or HGH
