* As a very very pale ( like glow in the dark white ) , brown haired, bright blue eyed 17 year old, i've always been very self concious of my skin colour . I live in the UK where the sun rarely comes out - even in the summer. But when i do go away to hot countries all i do is Burn burn burn. never tan - never have . but i do freckle all over my face, which i hate ]
* Being so self concious i did some research and found out about melanotan ]
* but before i do, i want to know whether i should really go ahead and use it or not.
* On my back and stomach ( and a couple on my face ) i have tons and tons of moles, must be atleast 15 on my back, but no freckles - which is probably due to not having my top off during the summer or on holidays.* and what i dont want to happen is to take melanotan and have tons and tons of freckles and moles appear everywhere - thats the last thing i need as i already have tons of moles all over me.
which leads me onto the question - should i do it ? and if so which peptide ? Melanotan 1 or Melanotan 2.
* would it be wise to instead of going strong on mII and waking up with moles the size of golfballs all over me and freckles covering my face, to do MI and take it very slowly over a period of months or even years so i can monitor it very slowly so if it is taking a negative effect i can stop.
* all advice is very much appreciated .* ]
Thanks,
* * * * * * Ollie
oh and also, if i do go ahead with it , would i be better to start next summer as the winter in the uk would give no one any colour ? and also i read that melanotan can give you a tan without UV rays - is this true or just false publicity ?
welcome ollien, very happy to meet you.* I hope your synthetic vitamin d supplementation is routine, particularly when w/o sun. Absolutely wish you the best and see your pale (non sunless tanned) skin as beautiful.
Initial concerns with melanotan are your youth, freckles and degree of melanocortin variation making your skin so sensitive.* Melanotan II is not a good idea for your pigmentation status/concerns.* Melanotan one may be at the efficacious level to see some tolerance to the sun...but will be a hassle still to see meaningful result.* Future targeted bioavailable peptides may indeed exist when you are at age 25 - keep your ears to the ground and lookout ]
Without sun (and your pale skin w/ genetic backing), no melanotan wont tan your skin much at all - it may darken your pigment and give you some depth/thickness to your skin - maybe you wouldnt flush or turn red as much (if you had thin skin...doesnt particularly sound like you do).* If you did pace yourself and listen to your body on melanotan 1 for a year...it would get expensive and require many many injections.* Hard to advocate the value
Hope that is helpful, stay away from tanning peptides now as they are not at the level to where they can/will help your very pale skin colour - prayers and well wishes your way.* Keep faith you will experience the beach and live in the spectrum you desire* 8)
