What is the recommended insulin cycle length and how long do you use it?
I have a friend who is doing 8 week cycles, but from what I've been reading everywhere it says that insulin shouldn't be used for more then a 4 weeks. Because if you are on it for longer then it would result in problems producing your own natural insulin etc..
Cycle length mostly depends on how often you use it, how much and also on the type of insulin you have. Someone who uses insulin only after a workout 3 times a week could use it for extended period of time in my opinion. But if you use it everyday or even multiple times a day then you definitely need to cycle every 4 weeks.
You must also take into the account current physique of the user to determine cycle length. Because someone who have higher body fat and is already resistant to insulin can harm his body by using insulin alot sooner then someone who is in great shape, low body fat and very sensitive to insuin.
There are alot of different ways to use it but the most popular and safest is to inject it post workout for 4-6 weeks in my opinion.
