GH vs ghrp to recover from surgery

    Hi all,

I'm about to get surgery for a torn labrum (cartilage) which will put me out for ~6 months, normally.
I'm wondering what's the best option to help recovery: exo GH supplementation or GHRP/GHRH (or, even other)?
Using basic steroid logic, I'm guessing using GHRP/GHRH to force the body to produce more on its own, when it's already healthy, would be a bad route to take?
But, I'd like to be *really* sure of that, given the price tag of GH.

    Any thoughts?

I'd say the exact opposite. Being healthy or not healthy is pretty irrelevant in such uncertain terms. Steroid logic also has no relevance as well as being undefined.

To be more precise, I have healthy, in-range, natural GH production (and IGF-1 levels, etc etc).

And the 'steroid logic' I was referring to is the idea that I want to temporarily, exogenously supplement a working feedback loop to high levels versus trying to amplify natural production to such levels (and risk downregulation etc).

    That risk is non-existent.

Why not ask your doctor about it?

If you can afford it, growth hormone would be much more effective. Have you cosidered asking your doctor? Maybe he will even help with the prescription of GH.

That's right. Even better, he'll prescribe you something more helpful that won't cost as much.
