Having read through seemingly hundreds of posts on this forum, I finally decided to embark on my Melanotan II journey.
I would say I am skin type I/II in the sense that I never tan. I burn, blister, and peel all too easily but my forearms and face are ever so slightly darker than the rest of my close to luminous body (think White vs Beige).
I have always been envious of people who can venture out into the sun without dreading the inevitable suffering that follows. I recall answering with "to be able to tan" when previously asked what I would wish for if a genie appeared and granted me 3 wishes.
To discover there is a potential solution to my glowing complexion was momentous, but it was the incredible level of knowledge, advice, and expertise available on this very forum that has given me the confidence to embark on a potentially life changing journey.
Given all I have read, I have looked to adopt a best working practice approach to my usage and very much adopt the 'patience is a virtue' mantra.
I purchased 2 x 10mg of Melanotan II from Lap Peptides (a seemingly reputable supplier who frequents this forum also), alcohol wipes, 1ml 12.7mm insulin syringes, and bac water.
I reconstituted my first vial of Melanotan II with 2ml of bac water and decided to begin with 100mcg daily doses.
2 things that really stuck out at this point were just how little an amount 100mcg actually is (especially in a 1ml syringe) and secondly, just how nerve-wracking injecting yourself for the first time truly is. I'm sure i'm not the first or last person who was genuinely shaking with anxiety at the thought of doing something so 'alien'.
Needless to say, I overcome the initial fear and injected for the first time back on April 25th.
Again, following the general consensus from this forum I have been injecting just before bed every evening. The anxiety surrounding the injections themselves had subsided with each passing day and I have made the injection site as varied as possible around my lower abdomen.
Having injected 100mcg on days 1, 2, and 3, I was pleased when I noticed no side effects. This gave me the confidence to double my daily dose up to 200mcg. I am currently on Day 12 and have just embarked on my first ever trip to the local tanning salon where I spent 4 minutes in a 'walk in' sun bed.
I fully appreciate that 200mcg daily doses and 4 minute tanning sessions may seem unnecessarily low to many forum members here, but as previously mentioned, I want to maintain a 'slow and steady' approach.
To date, the only side effect I have noticed were darkening of my moles/more prominent freckles. I noticed a few 'new' moles appearing but upon inspecting my 'before' pictures realised those marks were already there, just not as visible.
I can't say I have encountered any nausea, flushing or aphrodisiac effects thus far. Today was the first time I have varied my injection time where i injected 30 minutes before visiting the tanning salon. I intend to use a sunbed twice weekly for the next few weeks, keeping at least my first 4 visits at around the 4 minute mark.
Whilst I appreciate many have used Melanotan before me and there will be many who use it after me, we are all different and it is all about individual trial and error. By taking it slowly I hope to be able to react to the progress as I go with the hope of having a golden tan for the first time in my life come my summer holiday in August.
Thanks to all who contibute to this board for giving me the confidence to use Melanotan and I look forward to sharing my experience and results over the coming weeks.
good for you slow and low are the way to go , you could bump to .250* that is the amount I use and get real dark in summer , you might also bump up your tanning times to 6 min for a week then go up from there as you feel comfortable , not use to sun beds as live in the SW , here we have a lot of natural sun .

Thanks JimC.
My reasoning for doing 200mcg rather than 250mcg is that I can work to the tick marks on the syringe rather than somewhere between 2. As for the tanning time, the place I am using offers 4, 8, 12, and 16 minute sessions so planning to stick with 4 for the initial sessions and then go to 8 (knowing I can cut the session short by 2 minutes if necessary)
"
Skintype-1 need medium dose, so if you donīt get result after 30 days, go with 500mcg/ED.
"
Thanks also Melanotano.
Appreciate the advice. I will certainly be experimenting with the dosage based on results as I go. I'll plan to keep this thread updated as it may prove useful to first time users in the future.
if you get 30 unit syringes then low doses are easier to use on mine 250 is five marks.

Must confess, I saw the benefit in using smaller syringes the moment I drew my first dose, but having ordered 100 of the 1ml ones I will continue 'as is' for now and remember to change the order next time.
Today marks 'Day 17' in my Melanotan II journey.
Given the lack of any adverse side effects I took the decision yesterday to increase my dosage level from 200mcg to 300mcg per day. I may decide to increase again at some stage but as with my original post, I am not in any rush.
Today marked my second visit to the tanning salon as well for another 4 minute session. I think I will do 1 more 4 minute session and then switch up to 8 minutes. Again, my desire here is to introduce the UV exposure slowly but surely ensuring I do not burn.
To end on a very satisfying note, I bumped into some friends yesterday whilst out shopping who commented that my face seemed to have a tan. Other than my wife, no one else knows about my Melanotan usage so it was nice to have someone notice a change (not least because being told I have 'a bit of a tan' has never happened before ;o)
I def recommend staying at low doses. I don't know if u read any of my posts but I'm the girl that used too much ended up too dark and with grey patchy hands I was doing 1mg a day I'm a skin type 1 u don't want to end up doing too much. I'm pale again but skin has it went back as pale as it used to be it's somewhat darker as I still have lines. Ironically the whole experience taught me to love my skin . I also wud hav dun anything to hav a tan it was the number one thing I hated about myself being so pale... Not anymore I now love being pale and don't care about getting a tan. Before my experience I wore fake tan regularly but iv not touched it in a year. The psychological impact if how I looked with a really dark tan (which was ridiculous) really affected me and now I'm happy to be pale. That's just me tho I wish u all the best and hope ur experience is better than mine. Injecting was scary but u got used to it . Stay with low doses and some but minimal sun.
Thanks for your input. I guess it's true that 'you don't know what you've got until it's gone'. Do you think your opinion would be different had you dosed more appropriately progressively built up a natural tan? I can't blame you at all for having a negative outlook on tanning products now following what sounds like a horrible experience for you.
Back to my journey...
Yesterday marked day 31 of my Melanotan II usage. The results have been life changing.
I have maintained a daily dose of 300mcg since day 16 and so far racked up 30 minutes on a sunbed (this was 4 sessions spread over 14 days).
With regard to my total Melanotan usage, whilst my dosages total 7.2mg for the first 31 days, I finished my first 10mg vial yesterday. I know I lost some the first time I drew the needle from the vial as I stupidly kept the vial upside down as I removed the needle and the pressure caused a rapid stream of Melanotan to come flying out of the top but I wouldn't have thought this would amount to 2.8mg. I guess trying to draw exactly, 100mcg/200mcg/300mcg with a 1ml needle is quite difficult (Note to self and any future user, .33/.5 needles would definitely be preferential for small doses)
As for the results, they have been fantastic! I have not had any side effects whatsoever which has made the journey so far rather pleasant.
The areas of my body which are most exposed (face, lower arms, neck) have gone a shade of brown I would never have dreamed of being. Everyone I know has commented on how tanned I look, which is something that has never happened before! I dare say i look 'healthy' with a bit of colour.
The torso and legs are lagging behind a bit but even they are noticably darker than the milky white of before.
I am no at a bit of a conundrum as to whether to continue with daily dosing and wait for my torso to darken a little more or make the move to maintenance now and inject pre tanning instead.
I am already covering my face and forearms whilst tanning to try and even things up a little but even using sunscreen whilst playing golf etc has yielded a magnificient tan on the exposed areas.
The other major benefit for me has been my tolerance of the sun. In years gone by I would know i was out in the sun. I would feel uncomfortable and dread the innevitable burning. Now I feel absolutely comfortable out on the golf course for 4 hours or so. I have not shown any signs of burning or even turning slightly red which is mind blowing.
I would be very interested in hearing how and when others changed from daily dosing to maintenance dosing and anything they experiences when doing so.

Indeed 100u of water into a 10mg vial makes 30u on the .3cc syringe=3mg.
So, since there are 30 marks, 10=1mg 2.5=quarter mg etc.
Also some are 31ga and hardly feel them.

So tonight I realised that I have not updated this post in about 6 weeks and by now i'm sure you are all on the edge of your seats, eagerly awaiting the next update*
Needless to say, the results of my Melanotan II journey have been incredible.
For the first time in my life I have a tan. Not just a slightly reddish golden sort of tan, but a genuine, comment inducing tan. I will never tire of people asking where I have been on holiday (regardless of the fact that I haven't actually been on holiday) or just generally complimenting me on my colour.
As you can see from the previous posts, I was adamant about low dosing and taking it slow and I stuck to this plan. I never went about 300mcg per day, but at this dosage I really started to notice a change in my skin tone. Naturally my face, neck, and lower arms/hands went darkest but with some sun bed use I have been able to ensure that the rest of me gets some colour also.
I notice my hands were getting very dark a few weeks ago so I dropped to a maintenance dose. This resulted in my dosing 300mcg on June 8th, another 300mcg on June 12th, 300mcg on June 22nd and 300mcg on July 1st. In total I have injected just 12mg of Melanotan II and spent an accumulative 54 minutes on a sun bed (never more then 8 minutes at a time) since I started back on April 25th.
I would have been elated if the new found tan was the only benefit, but it simply isn't the case. After years of hating the sun and seeking out as much shade as possible on holidays I now find I am comfortable out in the sun. I have not burned once this summer despite hours on a golf course. It is a truly incredible feeling. When people say Melanotan II is life changing, they are absolutely correct.
I will now continue a low dosage maintenance phase to keep the colour I have. I'm taking the family on holiday in mid August and I cannot wait to genuinely enjoy pool days with the kids for the first time.
I have included some 'before & current' photos. I didn't find many before/after photos when i was originally researching Melanotan so maybe these will be helpful to someone looking to begin their journey.
Absolutely fantastic results and I'm sure you could get even darker if you wanted. Do you see yourself wanting to go darker or will you maintain the tan you've got now? I guess you could do anything you wanted now Craig
(you have achieved your dream) great stuff and a thrilling read with before/after photos
I don't doubt for a moment that I could go darker. To be honest, I slowed my dosing as my hands and lower arms were getting very dark, very quickly (you can see that my neck is darker than my back in the photos above).
To go from having never had a tan to where I am now with just over 1 vial of Melanotan II and less that 1 hour on a sunbed is incredible. The fact this has been done over 2 and 1/2 months just shows how powerful this peptide is and that high and fast dosages are not always required.
The general concensus seems to be that 500mcg per day is the norm, with higher dosages often advised to Type I/II users. I have never dosed more than 300mcg per day so i can only imagine how dark I would have/could have gone.
It's worth reiterating at this point that I have experienced no side effects whatsoever whilst using Melanotan II. Maybe this is due to the lower dosages, maybe I am just fortunate to have a tolerance to it, either way I couldn't be happier with the results and overall experience.
I will continue to dose weekly up to my holiday in mid August. I may decide to dose slightly higher the week before we leave to assist with the additional UV exposure whilst away. We are away for 10 days so I am not 100% sure if I will take the Melanotan out with me or whether i will just dose before leaving and then be sensible whilst i'm away.

Thank you for sharing your success story with us.
Some people are more fortunate and have no side effects. I have just tested my tolerance to 1000 mcg, and still get no. I have accumulated 160 mg over the past year.
Just goes to show that different people require and/or can tolerate more than others.
At 100mcg a day I felt fine so I upped to 200mcg after a few days. Once again I felt fine but didnt really notice any tanning results either. Upped to 300mcg and the colour appeared almost overnight. I'm dosing about 300mcg a week to maintain! ha ha.
