I have lots of freckles all over my arms and face and I am not exactly sure if I have the ability to tan which is why got me into researching melanotan I also have jet black hair so it's not a fair hair thing, I haven't ordered any yet but I'm wondering do you guys think I would be able to get a tan and get rid of that ugliness of the freckles all over my arms?? I included pics any help/advice greatly appreciated
Hey Adhaimh, great question, thanks for also attaching a photo! You for sure have the ability to tan, however the challenge is maybe viewing your beauty marks as beautiful first and foremost. Having black hair may be an advantage in the tanning dept (as compared to those with fair hair w/ greater sun sensitivity & melanocortin system/gene mutations) and given your concerns with regards to your sun damage Melanotan 1 may suit your needs had you decide you're indeed interested in Melanotan (as results from MT-2 can be quite dramatic/intense/rapid).

Thanks for the reply! I would love if someone of similar skin type could post results because I am not clear on if it would just be tanned over the freckles(ideal scenario) or if the amount of freckles would just increase dramatically and darken , any replies appreciated!!

"tanned over the freckles" - what is the ideal? beg your pardon...
Hopeful someone similar to yourself will post, however I do not believe you'll arrive at the clarity you're after unfortunately. We are all so different.... My bet is that you will increase pigmentation in your freckles, dramatically (at least at some point). Sounds like spray tanning is more suitable for you, have you tried?
I also have freckles on my arms. My arms also don't tan much which is different than most folks from what I read. I just use some pigmented sun screen on my arms which helps blend the freckles and skin. I am fine with the way that looks. Good luck.
You will always see the freckles after a melanotan-2 treatment, but I do not think it means anything at all. I am not constrained by my freckles and it has nothing meant in relation to women ]
As Forum Admin said, try out melanotan-1 if freckles is a big problem for you.

thanks for responses! why what does melanotan 1 do that 2 doesnt?

Melanotan 1 is naturally occurring and has lower side effects but it's weak and the body can easily break it down, with a half life of an hour so regular high dose injections are necessary to get good effects.
Clinuvel's trials are an example of this with a constant feed administered via implant or patch.
This can be replicated roughly by injecting twice daily at about 500mcg each.
Melanotan 2 is a modified/engineered cyclic version of MT1, it's more 'aggressive', due to its cyclic nature it is harder for the body to breakdown so it lasts a bit longer (half life at 33 hours).
Normally 250-500mcg once daily is enough.
They both give similar results, but MT2 gets there quicker and stronger, but also comes with the additional side effects.
You'll still get most of these with MT1 but they're less pronounced.
I am skin type 1, never tan, easily burnt with freckles. I have used melanotan 2 a couple of times (before going away) once in 2013 and 2014 and have had outstanding results.
My freckles obviously didn't disappear and some on my arms went darker, but I was dark all over after only a couple of days of my holiday, I could barely believe my eyes.
Just be careful with your dosage, I was doing 0.5mg before bed each night as I weigh 9 stone.
The only thing I would steer clear of is injecting into your stomach, as this is sometimes recommended on some sites but I have marks there where the pigmentation is darker, It is fading and i'm sure it will go only it takes a long time.
I would recommend injecting into the bum, and tanning with underwear on so the sumligt/ uv isn't directly on the injection site

Thanks for sharing s86849! I would recommend looking into your insulin injection protocol...the systemic peptide hormone injections should not do damage to your skin or have an effect at the administration site.... Can you assure the community here you were darting the pin at the appropriate rate, not reusing pins, rotating your sites and possibly clarify what gauge needles you were using?
It has been about ten years that I have injected melanotan around the abdomen, maybe I will try and integrate my bum more often. Ty sir!
I'm a true skin type 1 with lots of freckles and strawberry blonde hair. I did mt2 in summer. I never had a tan in my life despite being on lots of holidays , I got called Casper etc and always burned. This stuff made me not burn the whole if summer despite being in Spain. It gave me a tan dec and very quickly. The only thing is I took way too much I was doing 1 mg a day and went too dark! I outtanned my friends who tan well! They cud not understand it. I jus wanted a glow but went too dark. My hands went very dark and patchy! And the overall colour did not suit me. I got loads more freckles and freckles I had went darker the tan does not cover them. I discontinued it wen I went home from holiday and hav went pale again but not back to original colour as still have lines! But a pale colour . Freckles have lightened. Some moles that darkened r still dark. It took a good four months to start going pale. If ur gonna do it do low doses as this stuff is strong. From true type1 . Ps I done a few posts on here at the time wen I was worried bout my tan
No offence Jessie but that was completely self inflicted. It takes only a rudimentary level of research to realise that 1mg is too much.
Your experience was extreme, but if you had done an eighth of the dose you did you would likely have gotten a beautiful tan and no regrets. If I was you I'd consider doing it again on a much, much lower dose as your body obviously responds to the peptide.
I would also recommend you that you start again with melanotan.
Stay with 250 mcg every day.
Go in the sun every other days - short.
Cover your hands and lips with sunblock.
Give it time. You need at least 3 months - perhaps the whole 6 months.
(my face took 6 months to be the same color as the body).
