What's up everyone!? Looking to learn more about using MT1 or MT2. Not sure which one would be more suitable. Lets start by saying I feel like I fit in the type 3 category. Once the summer season starts I usually get a good burn but then tan up after that. But however in the winter I do become pretty pale at least to my standards.* Also in the summer I build pools so I get a lot og sun exposure but not evenly. Mainly my back and face but not so much on my abs and legs. I am a hardcore weight lifter and would love to be deep tan everywhere.
Stats]30 years old
6'2" 210lbs
Brown hair brown eyes, a decent amount of tattoos.
Attached is a pic of me in normal lighting with no tan. About 3 months ago.

Melanotan 1 may indeed be viable for your skin type. 5-10 vials in one year (with maybe 1 MT-2 to test the waters...), with min 3-5 to see results. Key with MT-1 is to dose the product before tanning & be patient - your skin will not necessarily become rapid-dark from the original melanotan, however the back from vacation look/glow is unique and certainly present in MT1 users (clinical photograph results truly do apply - although there is no implant or special drug delivery device, the plain research peptide analog does just fine through an insulin pin)
If Melanotan 1 is the choice, I would hope it would eliminate the initial sunburn of the season - further, the tan attained while in the sun should carry through winter just fine with continued intermittent dosing
One vial MT-1 should yield ~10-20 dosages
With Melanotan II, the dosage is critical...very low dosages are highly effective (MT-2 is the cheaper product)
One vial MT-II should yield ~25-50 dosages
Chris,* Very interesting that you mentioned MT1 use directly before tanning.* Their are many folks on forums that are huge advocates of using MT2 before tanning and they confirm in reduces freckles/moles, amount MT2 needed, less uv needed, etc.* It make sense to me since aMSH is released in response to UV.
It seems you might have experienced the same with MT1.* Do you think a skin type 1 can achieve a light/moderate tan with just 1mg MT1 before sunbed once a week...if done for a period of 3 or 4 months.
Or would a skin type 1 still need 250mcg to 500mcg on non-tanning days to achieve a tan.
Happy to discuss and share a wavelength house, fantastic question.
Preference of dosing MT-2 lightly prior to sunbed exposure would indeed be my protocol. Challenge/art of dosing the synthetic melanocortin agonist peptides is management of side-effects. Not dosing MT-2 prior to planned solarium visit would not weigh highly on conscious as the mt-2 product/results are long lasting & far reaching. Low, frequent exposures to melanotan peptides help keep sensitivity down - very individual thing, side effects that is....
Weekly dosages of MT1 would certainly be more user-friendly over weekly MT2. Indeed I think user will see benefit from dosing either peptide on non-tanning days to build tolerance. After a couple months, the end result may be dialed in months 3-4.
