    Colour Perception and Control

    Hi

I am an Aussie user of MT2, having done so for about 6 months now.

I initially started out at around 1mg per day in loading phase and was pleased with my results and ability to remain confidently in the sun. The browning was quite rapid and noticeable - hence the topic line which I will address shortly.

I am a type 2 - or Bitza as I tend to call myself...* bitza white, bitza red and bitza brown.

I am looking at getting back into a short loading phase as I have been on maintenance for a while now and would like a little more depth of colour before the Australian winter.

Due to the rapid colour change - and the few people I actually told about Melanotan - many confronting questions were raised by friends and associates - viz, How and What...

How are you so brown when you never have been before and What is making you change colour?

Also due to the rapid change of colour, I noted that under fluro lights when taking photos... the colour of my skin would sometimes turn out looking unnatural... but only in the instance of photos. I find this curious... and wonder if anyone has noticed this phenomena themselves.

We live a social life and people use their perceptions to make judgments - which they then pose as questions like above. I dislike lying to people, however the explanation of what I am doing is laborious and easily misunderstood.

I know people have said in threads that it is their secret and their friends are just flabbergasted about their tan... but the same can't be said for me... no offence intended to anyone, but I don't hang around with people who merely accept, but rather they question... which can often be awkward.

I just wanted to address something real about using this product that seems to be thus far overlooked.

Look forward to some insights from fellow tanners...

    Re: Colour Perception and Control

Before I started, I ask a friend if he had ever heard of MT, and I could tell by his reaction that this wasn't someone who I could confide in about it.* For people who do tan easily, it's difficult for them to understand what type I & II people go through most of their lives.* There are still times in my life where someone made fun of my pale skin and that was permanently burned into my brain, to the point where I didn't want to go the the beach/wear shorts/sunbathe because I wasn't tan, and I wasn't tan because I didn't do these things.* It's a vicious cycle.

I still haven't told anyone about taking it, but I'm assuming that it might come up soon (I'm 1 week into loading, and went to the tanning salon for the 1st time yesterday.)

    Re: Melanotan 2 Color

I continue to learn more about melanotan peptides and tanning daily.* Silence is golden in most instances.* Such a complex/difficult subj indeed.*
Best advice is to cut your dose back by 70-90% going forward
