I've been reading quite a lot about these peptides and from what I can gather,
1) pt-141 (also know as bremelanotide), was developed and tested as a tanning agent.* It worked but was never approved because some people had problems with blood pressure spiking (less than 2%).* It is rumored that it was never approved because the big $$$ (other drug companies that make a sell viagra, cialis, etc. saw it as a threat because of the libido side effects) and use inside influence and $$$ to keep it off the market.
2) melanotan 1 has none of the libido side effects but still works as a tanning agent.
3) melanotan 2 does have libido side effects and also works as a tanning agent.
4) Melanontan 1 and 2 are both reformulations of pt-141 in attempts to win FDA approval.
I know in my case that I want the tanning and libido effects.* It sounds like a great bonus if you get both.* I do want to know if you develope a tolerance to the libido effects after using these for a while (say daily for 2 -3 weeks).*
I will keep in touch and let you know how things turn out.* I lookiing really hard at trying py-141 right now.

Great questions, happy to share my thoughts and perspective.* Certainly double check me...will go off memory and try to come back with sources when I get some time or come across applicable info* 8)
1)* Melanotan II was the one here.* The PT-141 was supposedly stripped of the tanning properties and developed afterward.* Yes sir, the fda wouldnt think of approving MT-2 as it simply does too many things (tanning/photoprotection, appetite, libido....).* Some once described it as the fda would not approve a viagra and ritalin combo...the drug needs a specific purpose.* Terrible example, but hope that make sense....the MT-2 does too much and is quite the complicated peptide-of course in conjunction with the largest organ (skin) and all those complexities.* The PT141 was tried as a nasal spray which is mostly bunk.* The molecule is too large and does not permeate well that route.* So it was unpredictable and furthermore the dosing was more unpredictable which probably lead to some blood pressure issues.* I dont think anyone finds the PT as a threat, apples to oranges imho.* Viagra, cialis etc are no aphrodisiac whereas bremelanotide IS!* No comparison.* The brem/PT/MT2 works via the brain, not the vascular system.* Both combined is something to experience * The PT when injected at a proper dose is not very likely to effect blood pressure.* But be warned, if you are not in tune with your body/mind...wouldnt hurry to use
2)* Melanotan One is the product which has the photoprotection without the aphrodisiac.* It is not as efficient as MT-II as it is also not as cost effective.* Great product nonetheless.* Takes the right skin tone and/or understanding to really appreciate
3)* Correct, MT-II is the cheaper, more efficient alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone...with the aphrodisiac, appetite and maybe a little more nausea sides
4)* No, but think we sorta touched on this.* If I were a betting man...I wouldnt be putting any of my nest egg in these biotech stocks. Doubt any will be approved, but that is just my opinion as the nasal spray was stupid, the implant sounds terrible (for a multitude of reasons) and just dont see such a product like bremelanotide being handed out like candy/viagra
Sounds like MT-II is what you should narrow your focus on.* Yes, when used consistently the libido effects fade.* You can still of course adjust teh dose when a recreational aphrodisiac experience is intended (the brem feeling)
