Cleaner and Greener this Springtime

Springtime is a great time to start looking at your local farmers markets for cleaner and greener foods, especially fruits and vegetables!

The highest sprayed (Dirty Dozen™) and the least sprayed (Clean Fifteen™) are two lists published by The Environmental Working Group that can guide you in selection at your local farmers markets!

Print the following lists and take them to the store or market with you.  Focus on at least buying the Dirty Dozen™ organic to avoid the most highly sprayed produce and keep your kids (and yourself) safe from harmful pesticides, herbicides, GMO’s, and irradiation.

  4. Apples
  5. Grapes

  10. Celery

  12. Sweet bell peppers
