“Once again the government is pushing worthless vaccines on unsuspecting Americans,” says Dr. David Brownstein, holistic doctor and author of the newsletter “Dr. Brownstein’s Natural Way to Health.”A recent article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) reported on new guidelines which encourage doctors to give adults 65 years and older two vaccines — PCV13 and PPSV23 — to prevent pneumonia. “After reading the article, you would assume that the two vaccines have been shown to be effective at preventing pneumococcal-associated illnesses and death from pneumonia,” Brownstein tells Newsmax Health. “But you would be wrong: These vaccines fail over 99 percent of the people who take them!”
According to JAMA, there were more than 31,600 cases of pneumonia in the United States in 2012, and 3,300 related deaths. Most of the infections were in children or adults 65 years of age or older. PPSV23 has been given to seniors since 1983. “I’ve checked records for pneumonia rates in the United States published by the Centers for Disease Control,” Dr. Brownstein tells Newsmax Health. “If the pneumonia vaccines work, deaths from the disease should be dropping, but I can’t see where there has been any decline in deaths from pneumonia.”In addition, a 2013 meta-analysis found there is no consistent evidence that the PPSV23 vaccine is associated with reduced rates of all-cause pneumonia or all-cause mortality.”
“What is so surprising is that so many doctors follow these idiotic guidelines,” he says.”I’m often asked by my patients if they should get the pneumococcal vaccine,” he says. “I’ll tell Newsmax Health readers the same thing I tell my patients — NO WAY!”

All dog/cat vaccines are as dangerous for pets as they are for humans. Veterinarians give the same dose (or multiple vaccine doses) regardless if the dog is a small or large breed. Watch out for all “doctor whitecoats”. Rabies vaccine (after puppy shots are given) give lifetime immunity to Rabies (as confirmed by the American Veterinary Association). Go to this website:

Can you point me to a medical study that was a long term, randomized, double blind trial that compared vaccinated subjects to non vaccinated subjects and proved the safety and effectiveness of some vaccine? Seems to me that a “gold standard” medical trial someplace must have been used to prove some vaccine both safe and effective.
I saw a graph once of some of the old killer diseases that were in long term decline due to better sanitation and when a vaccine was developed it made no difference to the decline but was hailed as a “major breakthrough” never the less.
My guess is that vaccinated people suffer far more health issues that those who do not get vaccinated. I wager that keeping your immune system functional through healthy living and diet is the best path.

There is not a single study from the FDA comparing vaccinated with unvaccinated children. It is easy to do. That study would answer many questions.
Most vaccinated diseases were on the decline when the vaccines were introduced.

What about the shingles vaccine? I fell into the lie about the pneumonia vaccine. I had pneumonia six months before I had an apt. With my dr. And they asked me about me taking the vaccine and I had a hard time getting over the pneumonia so I took the vaccine.

The shingles vaccine is not very effective—about 1% effective at preventing shingles. Therefore, it fails 99% who receive it. Search ‘shingles’ in my blog search bar for an article about it.

Not that I necessarily disagree with you, but I believe you are misinterpreting the NNT data. When the NNT is 1620, it doesn’t mean that it failed the other times, it just means those people wouldn’t have suffered the dire consequences of pneumonia itself: they either wouldn’t have contracted pneumonia, or it wouldn’t have been invasive pneumococcal pneumonia.
And actually, according to a Cochrane Review, the NNT is much higher! See the following Conclusion from their study
Surveillance data suggest that infection rates vary widely between and also within countries, but a typical figure in developed countries is 0.01%, or 10 per 100,000 per year. My son has diabetes and his endocrine is pushing to have him get this vaccine. He says it’s imperative for all diabetic to get. I have said no, but they are really pushing. Even for diabetics, is this vaccine a “no?”

Both my aged parents had that pneumonia vaccination as many times as the doctors would allow. Both of them got pneumonia. My mother died from pneumonia. I won’t be getting that vaccination.
Dr. Brownstein, I have been on the Iodine protocol for several years now and am currently on maintenance at about 50mg Lugols. Has Iodine possibly helped me eliminate all of the mercury and aluminum I have gotten with past vaccinations, or are they an ongoing concern? Secondly, aluminum accumulation in brain tissue ihas been associated with the development of Alzheimers. Will Iodine help rid aluminum accumulation in the brain?
How about the shingles vaccine? My husband has never had chickenpox yet the doctor advised he get the shingles vaccine. I have had chickenpox but have not yet taken the shingles vaccine. What is your opinion?

Like your readers here, I too was once at the “mercy” of the conventional medical establishment. The last time I received a flu shot I was sick for six weeks! Today I only use a homeopathic flu remedy and have no side effects whatsoever. I share my knowledge with anyone and everyone who is willing to listen to some common sense and wisdom regarding food, medicine, lifestyle and attitude. I had the pneumonia shot many years ago, but had pneumonia several times afterward. Acutally, I’ve rarely been ill since I stopped eating gluten a few years ago.
If 99% of those who received the vaccine developed pneumonia….how many who didn’t get the vaccine got pneumonia? Any? I’ll bet very few or only those exposed to the ones who received the vaccine. Right?
Avoid vaccines and you will likely not get the disease or if you do it will be less virulent. Especially if you are willing to stop, listen to your body and get the rest it needs to recover. Oftentimes, people continue to soldier on instead of staying in bed and allowing their body to get a fever…and high enough and long enough to kill whatever virus/bacterium needs killed.
If an electric blanket makes me feel better and raises my temperature, I’m good with it. Usually within 12 hours the fever usually breaks and starts to come down to levels where I can function to take care of myself. Then back to bed to sleep until bed doesn’t feel good. Then I’m well on the mend.
I was listening to the radio just an hour ago when I was out driving and there they stated that they are now going to do a drive to contact every family with kids age 5 here in Qld to make sure they all get up to date with their vaccinations and that it is a worry that they have so many unvaccinated children here in this state. They stated that by contacting the parents directly they expected higher compliance.
I am so upset with this government here in Australia forcing this on us and taking away people’s free choice.
I have made this point numerous times with family & friends but they still chose to believe that vaccines are good. My daughter’s mother-in-law had polio as a child and has some disabilities due to getting polio, she said after the vaccine was out it wiped out polio. So i guess i can’t argue her point.
HI, Vaccines may lower the immune system. kids/older adults may get hurt more by it. Viruses/bacteria may cause pneumonia. No gluten/dairy/soy/sugar/GMO…vitamins/good oils/minerals….LDN…detoxing…fish oil, zinc, Vit C, Mg and more may help the immune system. The more vaccines the worse of a burden it is to the immune system. 2000mg of fish oil stopped my colds/flu for more than 20 years. To me people may need to fix their diet and taking fish oil etc may stay healthy instead of a vaccine which may hurt and not help.

Speaking of vaccines, my dad and his wife’s two King Charles Spaniel’s just almost died after getting their last bout
of vaccines!! They were up all night watching them as they hardly breathed and lay motionless on the floor for some 12 hours
or more. This was a concoction of Rabies, Lyme and I think Lepto vaccines, all given at the same time. I didn’t even know they Had a Lyme vaccine. They have decided to only do Rabies vaccines from now on. I am so glad they survived. It is a crime against humanity and our precious pets, that we/they are subjected to these poisons, and now in California it is THE LAW that every child have all the vaccines they are pushing (34 or something??) in order to go to public school!!! I am so glad my kids are past the age where they would need these to be in school. We passed up the whooping cough vaccine in 2011 on principle because they were pushing this vaccine as only for whooping cough, but they sneakily threw two more vaccines into it, hoping no-one would be educated enough to notice. I have always thought it important to space out vaccines, so was upset to realize the-powers -that -be were duping me by doing a 3 for one, so I said no. At that time I actually Could! Since then, I have become much more educated, thanks to Dr. B, about the dangers of vaccines and am sad I have to research so much to even have clue what our

I just saw an ad on T.V. last week encouraging all adults to be vaccinated for “Whopping Cough” so we can protect our children. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the cost of advertising exceeds the cost of research when it comes to rolling out new drugs.
I wonder when America is going to wake up and say, “Enough is Enough.”

I just saw the flu vaccine advertised on the Walgreens light-up sign, but along with that, a “High Dose” flu vaccine was also advertised. I’ve never seen “High Dose” flu vaccines offered.
