Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is the world’s second largest palm oil plantation company with a total planted area of 471,100 hectares (including smallholders) located in Indonesia. They have integrated operations focused on the production of palm-based edible oils and fat for the food industry. Founded in 1996, GAR has been listed on the Singapore Exchange since 1999.
Stena Weco (SW) was formed in April 2011 and is equally owned by the Swedish tanker shipping company Stena Bulk and Danish Weco, which is a part of the privately owned shipping group Weco Group. SW specialises in clean petroleum products, edible oils and chemicals and is today one of the world’s biggest MR operators. SW has renamed to Stena Tanker: Product and Chemical after Stena Bulk bought the remaining 50% shares from Weco group.
