    thawing peps

Hey guys I'm curious how long you guys wait from the time you remove your frozen peptide from the freezer until you inject the BW. I read somewhere on here that both the BW and peptide should be at room temp before reconstitution. I know it may be dumb to ask but its really hard to tell when a powder has come up to room temp as the vial gets warm quickly. I want to be sure when I do this as I want to minimize any degradation that may occur. Thanks and I appreciate any feedback you may have.

I wait long enough to draw the 1 ml of BW into a syringe and then insert it into the vial I just pulled from the freezer. Not saying this is correct, but it's what I do. I keep my BW in the fridge so I don't shock the peptides. Not saying this is correct, but it's what I do.

It doesn't really matter. You are not going to "shock" a peptide. If anything a peptide may be a bit less soluble when the temperatures are low, but you can always just hold the sample in your hand to warm it up.
