    blood pressure reducing supplements

I always get higher blood pressure even at 500mg test/week and want to take some supplement before asking my doctor for prescrition medicine. Maybe there is a good supplement available?

I think the top 3 are magnesium, hawthorne berry, and taurine - in that order.

But if you are getting BP increases with test it's probably due to E2 being out of control (=fluid retention).

I agree with these comments above and Olive Leaf Extract is becoming interesting as well.

I'm a huge fan of olive leaf extract. I take it regularly to support my heart, and I find it definitely helps maintain a healthy blood pressure.

Thanks you guys, sounds good so far. I also read about garlic extract which might help, any thoughts?

Have to look into olive leaf extract now, this is absolutely new to me.

So, the metioned supplements won't work in my situation?

Very hard to say but anecdotally hawthorn works great in that scenario. Magnesium is probably something everyone should consider supplementing. If those two don't work give taurine a go.

    CoQ10 @200mg/day reduced mine by 5 points.

    Raw celery x 4 stalks/day reduced it by a further 15 points!!

    It is now 125-130/70.

You may want to try COQ10 as well, It is very helpful with heart function and is a major anti oxidant. You can buy BP control meds which are a combination of natural elements but I didn't find them that helpful they just made me Pee all the time. Try a short trial on some of these things, but if they don't help significantly, please get prescription meds. Your life could depend on it,

Hispiscus tea has been shown to lower BP as much as an ace inhibitor.
Brew it up at home using the leaves and then drink 3 cups per day.

These are all great recommendations, but what's the underlying cause of your hypertension? If you know or find out we can give you specific advice and you can cure your ailment rather than treat it.

I agree. You'll need to recognize first what's causing your blood pressure to elevate so you'll know how to properly address it.

There are many causes of hypertension - lifestyle, stress, medications, supplements, enhancers, although Magnesium is actually a good way to lower that blood pressure.
