Hi all, I'm skin type 1. I started Melanotan 1 yesterday so today will be my second dose. Currently I'm doing 500mg once before bed and I had planned on continuing this way until I got to my desired color. However, I noticed on http://melanotanforum.com/melanotan-2/melanotan-1-2-peptide-guidewalkthrough-%28wip%29/ , it says "Recommend dosages starting from 1mg (500mcg twice daily) for Melanotan 1 due to the lower side effects associated with it.
After 2-4 days increase to 1.5mg (750mcg twice daily) and stick at this point."
I'm wondering is there any reason to dose twice a day? Or is it fine if I just dose once a day?
You're fine as you are, best of luck randomname! If not in a rush to arrive at your desired color you can indeed take your time (roughly dosing once most days of the week). Had you wish to amplify your results, there are advantages by dosing twice as often (upping the dosage per injection often has diminishing returns, ie.: beyond 750mcg-1mg). I agree that had you be dosing 2mg of MT-1 daily...it's best to dose 1mg per occasion (as the water soluble peptide hormone acts quick/brief in the system).
Right on, happy to hear it - great question btw. Pardon for the wordiness from my end. What I find is less is more with many peptides, namely MT-2, MT-2, GHRH (CJC-1295), HCG, GHRP-6/GHRP-2...whereas more can be better with TB-500 peptide, rHGH (including HGH Fragment homrones), Ipamorelin, to name drop a few. It's always good to clarify and seek council w/ regards to dosage & strategy. Thanks again randomname!

I probably should have clarified on the thread that it's more of a 'If you want to dose higher you can - but not much further than that'.
If you're happy with 500mcg/ED then that's okay, take it at your own pace!
The idea behind the dosing twice a day is because MT1 has a half life of about an hour, that means that if you inject 500mcg at 8 AM, by 9AM you'll only have 250mcg left in your system.
Tried making a little table to display it, the left is taking one injection a day, the second is taking two injections a day. Generally it makes it so that you have more MT1 available at all times of day.
Ignore the numbers - they're just there for simplicity. Use whatever you feel comfortable with!
