Intranasal products may bypass the blood brain barrier
For those of you interested in intranasal delivery for MII, I came across an article that discusses intranasal delivery of some medications and the potential to bypass the blood brain barrier. The implications for this could also mean potential harm for substances not adequately studied, especially if using a contaminated product that was synthesized in an uncontrolled environment. My intention is not to discourage you all, its just to provide additional insight to help with your decision-making.*
Re: Intranasal products may bypass the blood brain barrier
My hypothesis is that intranasal delivery with MTI may be safer than MII based on a comparison of the target receptors for each peptide. Activation of the MC4R receptors by MII may have additional unrealized long-term effects because they are located in the CNS system. Just a thought.* *
