refill insulin vial with peptides for traveling

I've seen some mention of putting various peptides in a re-purposed insulin vial for easy travel (no questions) but am unsure about actually doing it.

Mechanics seem straightfoward - empty insulin, rinse with bac water, empty again all while remaining sterile. Then just insert desired peptides.

But should I beware of any lingering insulin causing a "surprise?" It seems like the possible lingering amount would be so minimal as to not matter?

    Thanks for any tips!

It's a smart thought. You could always just rinse a few extra times with a bacteriostatic or sterile water.

It does seem like a sound idea. The impact of a small fraction of a unit should be negligible, no? To stability of mod grf/ipamorelin and also to blood glucose levels?

Good idea but I will say I just traveled with peptides, a vial of test and various syringes without issue. Keep in mind I have a script for the test and syringes and I dont think my check on bags were searched. But, I suppose, insulin is far more common in checked baggage than peptides and testosterone.

Were you planning on 2 vials? One for GRF and one for GHRP?

I was thinking two vials, one for GRF and one for GHRP.

I have traveled with peps alongside, I think folks generally worry too much about these little things, but traveling with it in an insulin vial would be so easy to be worthwhile. Also easy to explain to just about anyone.

Maybe I will just try it and see?

Plus - I often travel with my meds in carry on, unless it's a long trip and I have too large a suitcase. And I don't fancy the thought of losing my luggage and going a day or two. Also take other meds that I really MUST not skip a dose.

I'm no expert, but yes, what's likely to be left? a fraction of a unit of insulin? That's not going to do anything.
As far as degrading the peptides, I can't see a small amount of insulin (or a larger amount) damaging the peptides at all.
Personally I would keep the petides seperate to facilitate more accurate dosing.

Thanks for all your thoughts! I think the only thing left is to try it.

I will get some Humulin, empty and rinse a few times, give it a shot and let you know how it goes. Of course, one vial each for the GHRP and GRF.

Is insulin something you need to declare when departing and arriving?

Have travelled all over the world on business with my peptides, test, other anabolics and paraphernalia in my checked luggage and never had a problem. I dose daily also, not an issue! I wouldn't be so bold with carry-on baggage but never found myself in that situation. Generally, officials aren't looking at personal use medications in reasonable quantities!
