reusing 1 insulin syringe, or using 3-4 per day?

Hey I was wondering if you guys throw out your slin pins everytime you use even if your injecting 3-4 times a day? They are pretty cheap so it's not to big of a deal I was just wondering what everyone did? Also should we use alchohol wipes for sub-q?

Same, after the 4th the needle is a bit dull so I usually discard.

Yeah I used to use one slin pin per injection, what a waste that was. Now I use the same pin about 4-5 times probably before I notice more 'sticking' on the surface of my skin. At that point I throw it out and get a new one.

Yeah cost adds up quickly. I am very bad about this, I go until I can no longer read the numbers on the barrel. Dull or not, push hard enough and it will go.

Lol I'm just joking, usually use it for no more than 1-2 times.

I reuse mine, but you're REALLY not supposed to. Up-close (magnified) pictures of single-use syringes used more than once are really disgusting; even after one use the tip is visibly bent. The more you do this, the worse any bruising will be, and the greater the risk of infection.

Maybe it was psychological - but I'd get a fresh needle every injection. I didn't like how it 'felt' (again, may have just been in my mind). I seemed to really be sensitive to a dulled needle. Not a big deal, just open a new one.

I have a very high pain threshold, and at 5 injections of peptides per day can go for most of the week before changing needles. I have done thousands of sub-Q and IM injections on myself and my family with no infections so that is probably not an issue as well.

Depends a lot on technique, though. If you really know what you're doing, that won't happen quite so soon. At this point I just use each syringe 1-2 times because I find it more trouble to store, remember, and reuse a single syringe multiple times. I might do two injections the same day, or I might not.

This is caused by going into the vial, not the skin. That is why I preload 5 doses.

I just use a sewing needle to make a hole in my leg, tap some peptide powder into the hole and then reconstitute inside my leg with a few drips of tap water.

You can get 100 insulin pins at wal mart for $20. I don't understand why anyone would re-use them because of "cost." Even if you are pinning 5X a day the costs comes out to $1 per day.

Because at the end of the year, I can go take that extra 300 dollars and buy something with it?

Cost is still a bad excuse. If we followed that logic all the way through we would still be using banner ad peptides. Imagine how much $ you would save.

Not exactly. Used needles still "work" but banner ad peptides don't "work."

I'm on the other side of the argument. Why would someone wast a dollar a day when the used needles still work just fine? Maybe it's more uncomfortable, but that is the only downside I have seen.

I also normally use the syringe per day for 3 injections, and as long as you keep it clean and out of the way, it should be fine.

Anymore than that though and it will be thrown away, I also won't leave it over night and use a fresh syringe at the start of every day, no matter how many times it's been used.
