    HGH and mental disorders

A friend of mine told me a story about her friend that had mental disorder because of HGH usage. I know some that have felt somehow depressed for a while but I think it is because of him overdoing it. Is there a study showing that HGH do really change a person's behavior or even his mental state?

No, I have never heard such a case. HGH is is different from anabolic steroids and the side effects are not that serious.

Wow! That is one serious side effect. Is there like a specific mental disorder it is associated with or just behavioral effects like depression or agitation? I do not think it would lead to such serious illness like schizophrenia or something. It may be due to some other serious stuff your friend is taking in. Better check it with mental health professionals.

You have to be careful when you say mental disorder because it is different from behavioral disorders. Are you sure it is more complicated than just an ordinary feeling of depression or tiredness? I doubt it has ever happened to anyone who has been using HGH. Your friend's friend needs a psychiatrist.

I agree with them. You have to be specific as to what kind of mental disorder this friend of your friend has because we could not blame HGH right away. It could be depression or sadness or anger or pain but not mental disorder. Because I think of criminals when you say mental disorder, that's really creepy.

This. It's definitely a behavioral disorder.
HGH isn't linked in any way to depression. Taken with testosterone, it will make you feel invincible, you will feel that you can handle any problem, no matter how hard may be. On the other hand, once you stop taking them and all those sweet gains will start decreasing, that's when depression might occur.

The only link between HGH and depression I can find is when you take a look at your wallet and see how empty it is because your UI were too expensive.

I have to agree on this. Hahaha!

Kidding aside, I think it has something to do with the other things that your friend is possibly taking other than the HGH. There has not been a study stating that there are mental disorders associated with the use of HGH. I am still normal, my friends are still normal... well, that is based on how we define normal.

I think a lot will come down to the individual and some people will be more susceptible to mental disorders, whatever they take it don't take.

As others have said there's as been documented cases of depression, but at the same time you'll find thousands of other users that experience no side effects at all

I agree with pwarbi. It could be depression or sorts, unless your friend has a history of mental illness. A mental disorder is usually caused by a traumatic experience established when a person was younger. That's what I know. They just kind of "develop" over time because of triggering factors like the people around them.

According to this article, HGH can actually improve one's mental health. http://www.hghfaqs.com/167/hgh-improves-mental-health/ It says here that mental awareness is improved by HGH. With raging, we tend to have a decline in mental awareness. A study on mice proved that HGH can improve awareness even on old mice. Next, again, because of aging, GH tend to decline over time. Taking HGH can help improve the levels of GH and thus also improve our memory.

I don’t think HGH has anything to do with this, probably he was sick before even starting with HGH. Peptides and HGH do have side effects, but I think they’re all at a physical level and mental disorders have nothing to do with this. People should seriously do their research and make sure they’re doing it right. You can’t blame HGH for everything that happens in your life, it’s just not how it is.

I know human growth hormone, peps and similar drugs can cause depression, but I don't think it can lead to any serious mental problem. That is why I personally think it is not hgh that caused your friend to lose his sanity. Probably, there are other factors that triggered it.

Hgh does not cause the loss of sanity. While it is true that it can cause depression, I do not think it is the cause of your friend's mental disorder. Probably, it runs on their blood/genes. The best thing that your friend can do is to consult a specialist. I have been using hgh for a long time and so far, I am still on my right mind.

I do not think hgh caused the mental disorder of your friend. I also do not agree that hgh causes depression. I think your friend is going through a very difficult situation in life and that is why her mental disorder triggered. If not, then she is probably taking another drug that might be the cause of this.

Where do you get the idea that HGH can cause depression? I have never heard about it until now. In fact, HGH can actually cure depression at times. I believe that your friend's mental disorder is not caused by taking HGH. She might be using other drugs that might have triggered it or it probably runs in their family.

None of us here are good enough to give you our opinion on this matter. However, we have never really heard or read about hgh causing mental disorders. In fact, i do not believe that hgh can cause depression even when many users here claim that it is a side effect. The best thing you can do as her friend is to get a doctor to check her.

I admit that there are some side effects that we might possible encounter when using human growth hormones. However, these side effects are not that really serious. Some of the possible side effects are just nausea, headaches, water retention and the likes. I don't think it the mental disorder of your friend is caused by the human growth hormone.

Overdose with HGH? While there is such thing as HGH overdose, I don't think there is a case of mental disorder caused by too much HGH. There are surely side effects we need to face when we overdose ourseves with it, but losing your sanity is not one. In fact, it even improve your mentality as it takes good care of your emotional/mental health as well.

This is the first time I've heard hgh being linked to a mental disorder. I think it's just coincidental that the person was taking hgh while suffering from depression. It might also be possible that he was taking other drugs.

I also think it's a behavioral disorder. It is no way connected with hgh. If it's really a mental disorder, I think he already had it before he was taking hgh and it just so happens that it got worse when he was already taking hgh.
