    Thumbnail discolouration - REALLY WORRIED!

I have been using Melanotan 2 for 7 months now. About 2 weeks ago I noticed a thin dark brown, straight line (1mm) running from the cuticle to thumbtip. I thought nothing of it until I Googled it a few days ago and now I am really worried that I may have developed Melonoma.

Any moles that I had previously have darkened with M2 use but that was to be expected anyway. I have no new moles nor any other noteworthy skin discolourations.

Has anyone else experienced similar thumbnail discolouration? Should I be as worried as I am right now or is this just another (uncommon) side-effect?

    Thanks guys!

Thanks for posting Jan, hopeful your mind will be at ease asap. Can you elaborate on why you would conclude a melanoma developed...having the understanding and experience of rapidly tanning moles when on synthetic potent melanocyte-stimulating hormone? I think you'd have much greater cause for concern had the occurrence be while not on MT2 (or never having used melanotropin).... Please let us know if indeed this is an uncommon side effect (particularly for your skin type) and your plan going forward. Best wishes your way!

    Hi Melanotan

I understand what you mean about having more cause for concern if I had not been using M2 at all and I do take a little comfort from that. However, after all that Googling, there is still nevertheless, a striking similarity between my own thumbnail and that of Subungual Melonoma images on the web.

I assumed it could possibly be an uncommon side effect otherwise there would be so much more information to find regarding a connection between M2 and thumbnail discolouration. I also scoured the 17 pages on this particular forum section and no one else has been talking about it either.

The next step will be to consult a specialist whenever I next get the chance!
