What is the equivalent amount of time outside for 6 minutes in a tanning bed?

I realize that UV index defines how strong the rays are on a given day, so lets say the Uv index is 9

Tanning beds vary greatly in intensity, my shot in the dark would be 60 seconds, give or take some. Maybe a couple minutes in the old fashioned worn out lay down variety.

Think he means if he does 6min in bed, what is that outside?
As mentioned, high pressure? or old school normal beds?
(high pressure beds rarely go above 10-12min max exposure)
Most salons will say that max time in any of their beds is like 5hours or so in good
    sun.
I have no beef with this estimate. There are many variables of course.

I don't exactly know. However, I have read somewhere in this forum that 10 min EOD cycle for tanning is recommended. Nonetheless, I am not an expert to this one so I can't give you my piece of advice.
