    Melanotan without sun?

    Hi guys*

I'm new to melanotan and am really interested in it. I'm pretty adverse to tanning in general (skin cancer, wrinkles, etc) but hate being so pale, so I rely on false tan which can get annoying.

So I wondered if melanotan could provide me with a nice light or even medium tan without actually tanning? I'm not looking to go really dark anyway but just some noticeable colour* ]
I'm naturally blonde with very fair/pale nordic skin for your reference. Thanks!

Sorry, it won't work without uv rays. In fact if you take it without uv it can make your skin a dullish gray color. MT 2 works best for those of us who can't avoid UV rays and need the protection it can provide.

    Re: Melanotan without sun?

I haven't taken melanotan yet, so by all means rely on experienced user's words more than mine, but I've researched it a lot.

I have seen many people talk about the grey tint, but have yet to see pictures of it. Enough people have mentioned it that it is probably true though.

In one of the few MT-2 studies (not MT-1) 2 of 3 patients tanned on unexposed skin http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/8637402/. They don't mention if it was a grayish/unnatural tone though. I've also heard that the grey color comes from excess MT in your system. So low doses over a long period of time might work. This is what Scennesse is (with MT-1), and if it made you a sickly color we probably would have heard about it over the 10+ clinical trials for it. None of the people in the trials would be tanning I'm sure.

So I think it's possible, but there's a chance it might not give you the tone you want.

Do you live in a high or low UV environment? I live in a high UV environment and plan on testing MT-1 use without much explicit tanning after I get some skin issues taken care of.

I don't think there are many logs on minimal UV done with proper dosing so if you do try it keep us updated!

I can see melanotan 2 giving a slight tan in high doses(.5mg or more). However when I say slight tan, I mean probably going from an ivory white to an olive complexion instead of an actual tan.

Hmm I see, that's a shame. Do you think 1 x 20 min session a week will be enough then?

Okay that's good news then! I have heard the ashy skintone side-effect from one person I know actually but she didn't elaborate on it - just said the injections weren't worth it. There's actually a lady on realself who posted a picture of herself after 23 injections, with supposedly no sun exposure, and she has a very nice tan. Perhaps she did have uv exposure though and didn't mention it but it was implied that she didn't.
I live between Sweden and Switzerland so no abundance of uv exposure here!

You'll definately get darker no doubt, the biggest factor is how much you inject.

The problem is with high dose and no UV that you can get dark spots/moles without UV exposure, and they would stand out for longer until the surrounding skin darkens. Its basically just trial and error because each person is different.

This article seems to be a very good summary and agrees with most things that I've read https://mrcpeptides.com.au/buy_melanotan-ii_13.html

Oh absolutely. I wouldn't recommend her to go over .250mg if she's a 2 or .5mg if she's a 1. Have you considered waiting til summer or spring to inject? If I recall Sweden's summers are comparable to northern USA and should give you ample time to develop a tan at the rate you would like.

Thanks for the reply guys. I think i'll give it a shot (heh) and use the sunbed once a week.

On the topic of moles - do you usually get a break out of them when you first start, or do you carry on getting new ones during the entire time you're injecting?

You'll get a break out of them when you start, no more should appear after 2 or 3 weeks. Bare in mind these moles have always been there but were too faint to see easily. Try examing your arms under a bright light, you'll likely find a few very faint and very small moles you never knew were there.

Melanin is not actually brown till it gets hit by uv.

Okay that I could live with - could just get them zapped later.

    Thanks again for the help*

Many people (inc myself) get what some call 'dirty brown' stage in loading.
I think that is the pinkish/brown melanin that has been generated as a result
of the mt. When you hit that with uv (ideally real sun) is when the 'tan' starts.

I didn't know that! If that's true then I wonder how hair grows in dark? Care to link me to where you read that?

    Re: Melanotan without sun?

Seen that all over, and btw, NEVER gotten hair change myself.
Someone else said that on another thread (never seen nor knew anyone who
    got the hair change).
(you know of course I'm a mega doser / dose + tan till black)
