I want my tan to fade. I'm first time user never had a tan and it's been overdone I'm too tan. What I want to know is how long to fade? Some websites say 4-8 weeks. Others say you'll still be tanned after 3 months. A lot if variation. Can anyone who has let theirs fade offer any comments? Iv not had injection in 6 weeks and no more sun either at all! It's not faded at all and I want it to go away. It's the UK and I'm gettin a lot of questions as to why I'm still so tanned.
Hey Jessiex0x, sorry to hear of your stress. I recommend relaxation and exfoliation (spa facial perhaps). Hopefully the tan is on the way out, hang in there.
Yes in the same girl . My stomach is dark brown for some reason much darker than rest of me* . The rest of me is like an off orangey colour. My face is a bit lighter as I covered it sometimes cos I had read to do that. Iv not faded anywhere and I'm so stressed about it all. I look very unnatural. I used to be ghost white before never had a tan. Intended to get a light glow but went too dark. What I would like to know is that if it's a tan like any other tan why does it take so long to fade? If it's the surface layer which replaces every 28 days why does melanotan tan last longer . Is it tanned way below surface area. I'm so stressed cos websites say you will be back to premelanotan shade in 4-8 weeks. I'm on week 7 and no fade at all.
I would like to mention iv lots of hyperpigmentation also like small white spots that didn't tan . My knuckle joints on hands and fingers also went very dark almost grey but he greyness has actually went down a bit

Nobody can give you a definitive answer as it varies from person to person. It also depends on just how dark you are, how much you dosed and how long for. I generally find that it lasts quite a bit longer than a normal tan.
Also find the orange odd - normally if people dose too high and too quickly with little UV exposure they turn an odd grey/yellow colour, never orange.
I'd just recommend getting as little UV exposure as possible, to stop it topping up. Then try and relax and let it do its thing.
Thanks for the replies! I'll hav to accept it's not going anywhere fast. I think it's orangey cod iv red hair naturally and freckles . It's not full in oompa lipoma orangey just an off orange compared to others peoples tans whic are brown/golden.
Us there any possibity it could be permanent ? This is my biggest fear incase uv changed my DNA and it's permanent?

no not that i have heard of , it will fade but as stated in other post* it will take time .the one question that i have is what is your generic heratage ( white , ect ect,) that will affect you skin color?
was not asking your skin type was asking about your racial back ground , if you have some oriental* in your background that might account for the coloration, as stated before* the human body produces two types of melanin one produces red/yellow the other brown/black* depending on race one will dominate . in mixed racial humans its a crap shoot at best as to the dominate one .
White Caucasian . Irish parents. Do u guys find it stays strong at first then fades away or does it fade slowly the whole time from the day u stop.?? Exfiating every day . No UV at all as in the UK and there's no sun anymore and wen there was sun back I. September I didn't go out in it at all.
i fade real real* slowely as i use maintance* injections in the winter, the normal fade time is hard to say , different in every one but it should be gone sooner or later.
your irish through and through* then if you are a protestend thay would explain the orange color* ;D just joshing .
Lol good joke. Do u use maintenance all year and still fade?. In my case I wouldn't hav even needed maintenance as iv not faded in 7 weeks.i know melanotan is life changing for sum people and it certainly does work but I wish I'd never touched it now. If I knew it lasted so long I'd never went near it. I don't know how to explain to people and iv never been so self conscious in my life. Another thing is like to add as I was worried about everything I saw my doctor I had blood work done which tested for lots of things kidney /liver function , white cells, thyroid , inflammation, bone profile, electrolytes etc ... All came back normal.
then if you are a protestend thay would explain the orange color* ;D just joshing .
