    New MT2 user- type 2 skin :)

    Hello!
Trying MT2 for the first time after recommendation from a friend.
Aussie based so was difficult to source, hopefully it is a decent product but who knows.
So I'm around a type 2 skin type, pretty fair with some freckles and dirty blonde naturally. Can tan slightly but it's a slippery slope between tanning and just burning and peeling. Indoor tanning is banned in my state, but that's not really an issue for an Aus spring.

So I'm day 3 today so far I've had
    Day 1- 250mcg (some flushing)
    Day 2- 250mcg (nil sides)
Day 3- 200mcg (only 10 min ago, nil sides as yet)

I've attached a pic of my natural skin. I'm thinking I'll do a weekly photo post rather than daily to show a more significant contrast.
I'm a long time fake tan addict and I just want to try something new.

Any advice or questions are more than welcome!

Oh yeah, the fake spray on tan is one thing I don't miss. Sitting around afterwards all that time before being able to take a shower to get that stuff off my skin, all for something that disappears in a couple days. Never again!

    Day 4

    So today I did 400mcg at 10am.
    Nil sides.
Really hoping it's not a dodgy batch.

Spent about 1hr in the sun yesterday and the day before.
Very very mild burn yesterday mainly on stomach and chest, pretty much gone today.

    I'm also from Australia

I'll continue following up on your progress ]I'm waiting for my order to ship. Trying to decide to start with MT1 or go ahead and do MT2

Most likely just your personal response. Do you get flushing? It's normally present in low doses 100/250mcg. Normally the nausea starts at about 750mcg+.
Personally I can inject up to about 1.5mg before I feel uneasy, and I've only ever used a total of 20mg last year and about 6 mg this year.

thatredditguy does 3mg injections and doesn't seem too fazed by it. In the end the sides don't really tell how potent a particular batch is.

Well I had flushing after my very first 250mcg dose.
Nothing since then. I'm going to dose before bed tonight and try 500mcg.
I'm really just meddling with doses right now. I don't plan on going over 500mcg though.

Experimenting is good. When I first started, I was doing 1mg as it was the most recommended dose, and wish I had started lower.
I find 500mcg is the right dose for me, as it's the highest dose I can do before the nausea kicks in. As I inject mid day that's important for me.

As its more effective straight after injection, I normally only recommend doing it before bed when somebody gets bad sides at less than 500mcg. If you can inject that it's better to do it before sun exposure. But also depends on your schedule.

Ah I see. Well I got slightly nauseated last night on the 500mcg.
So I'm suppose to be going to the beach today so I might dial back to 400mcg before I go?
Do you think that's okay despite only having done my last dose less that 12 hours ago?

Probably won't be worth doing another injection.
The half life of MT2 isn't too bad, so you should still have a decent amount in your body. If you have the extra available you can give it a go, obviously if you only have one or two vials it may be better to conserve it for tomorrow.

Well I ended up doing an extra 125mcg in the morning before the beach.
Nil sides. I have noticed 2 new freckles on my face, which I take as a good sign to be honest. I have been keeping my face well covered and wearing a hat.

Sounds good! The freckles, while not normally desired are an indication it is working.

Re: New MT2 user- type 2 skin :)

Day 6 today. 250mcg.. No sides so far.
I feel slightly darker than usual but I don't know if that's me being crazy. I had to put a bit of extra bronzer on my face to make my foundation match my skin tone better. Also I have tan lines on my bottom now.

Not sure if that's just because I have been lying in the sun of because of the injections. Not complaining either way.

Great log, helps folks like me before we begin. Can anyone explain what you mean by " half life " of the MT peptide ?* Thx

Half life is an exponential decay - or the time it takes for a given material to halve in quantity. It's generally used for things like nuclear physics but applies to many subjects.
As an example I'll use MT1, as it has a half life of about an hour.

    00]01:00 - 0.5mg present
    02]03:00 - 0.125mg present
    04]
So in this case it takes about 3 hours for it to get to a very low level. Obviously MT2 will last slightly longer, but if you do a 500mcg dose before bed, when you wake up 8 hours later the level has dropped to about 400mcg.

I will just say I'm not 100% definite on the half lives of given peptides, but I'm using the most used figures from good sources.

As to the log, I'm glad it's going well! Any tan is good whether it's natural or MT2 aided. Do you normally tan or burn?

I generally burn and then depending on how much I burn I then either peel or tan slightly. But growing up I was helicopter parented and lathered with sunscreen so I've always done so in my adult life too except the odd slip up.

Re: New MT2 user- type 2 skin :)

Here is a photo update. Including my two new freckles which I'm not too upset about. After I put on a bit of makeup they blend in with all the other freckles I've always had. I don't think there's much difference in my overall skin tone. I do think my belly is the part that seems darker. But I have no photo comparison for that unfortunately.
I was wondering, do I keep doing these low doses daily until I see the desired colour. Or should I start spacing them out sooner.

This is day 7 by the way.

The freckles should start blending in more as you get darker too, at least that's what I've found.

I started spacing mine out after about a week.
My current regime was 500mcg ED for a week.
Then 500 mcg E2D for a week. This brought me up to the holiday point going to Spain.
Now I'll be doing 500mcg E3D pretty much as a maintainance and aid to the sun here. Currently 4 days in to the holiday and at a level I am happy with!

125mcg today. I'm finding that my stomach and thighs have good colour. But that's it ATM. Won't have a chance to get in the sun for a few days now.

Partner commented today that I'm looking much darker. I think I'll start spacing to second daily. See how that goes. So no dose today.
