    Re: MT-2 half-life

Advanced question, ty newToThis. Unsure the exact life of Melanotan 2 can be pinpointed. It is my understanding/guesstimate that a peptide injection of M2 has half-life of minutes (~1 hour, give or take).

Not enough study done on the compound to know for sure.* Iirc MT1 has a half life of 7-9 minutes (hence why the continuous microdose from the new Clinuvel implant is so much more effective).* The cyclic bond on the MT2 compound would appear to leave the molecule slightly less susceptible to enzyme cleavage from one side.* So, possibly a bit longer half life than MT1.* People in my field call that a SWAG.* Scientific Wild Ass Guess

    Re: M2 half-life

I stand corrected on the half life of MT1.* It is also possible that the folding of the MT2 molecule would create a structure with a high affinity to a particular breakdown enzyme, but I am going to stand by my first guess and say MT2 probably has a longer half life.* All of those oxygen molecules on the out side and the fact that some of the active areas are clustered together should reduce the sheer odds of encountering a breakdown enzyme?* Anyone else care to look at the molecule on Wikipedia and speculate?

There is a lot of things that just work in this world without us understudying every detail.* It was just recently discovered that DNA is not strictly a linear code, DNA stores data in a multiplex format at the same time.* So I am not sure why this is important?* Do you want to calibrate an insulin pump to deliver the peptide?
